injectable treatments

Neurotoxins are minimally invasive anti-wrinkle injectables. Botox and other neurotoxins relax muscles to help prevent and smooth wrinkles. Units vary based on client assessment. Common areas treated are frown lines (11's), forehead lines, Crow's feet (eye lines), upper lip, chin, masseter muscles, neck bands and lower face. $14.00 per unit.

The masseter muscle is a large, powerful muscle located in the jaw. It is responsible for clenching the teeth and moving the lower jaw. When this muscle is overactive, it can lead to TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems, pain in the jaw and face, and even headaches. Botox injections to the masseter muscle can help to relax it and relieve these symptoms. In addition, Botox injections can help to slim down the face by reducing the size of the masseter muscle.

Injecting neurotoxins into the muscles that control facial expression can temporarily improve the appearance of a gummy smile, turned down mouth, vertical lip lines, and chin dimples. The treatment may also help lift the corners of the mouth.

Why consider neurotoxins? Neurotoxins – commonly known as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Juveau – can help prevent or correct signs of aging. Neurotoxins relax muscles and diminish movement in certain areas of the face and body which can result in smoother skin, reduced or eliminated wrinkles, lifted muscles, and other cosmetic results.

Neurotoxins

Neurotoxins will start to take effect within 2-3 days. They will reach peak effectiveness from 2-3 weeks after treatment. As product settles, some asymmetries may be apparent. Touch-ups are encouraged to perfect results. Please reach out to schedule follow-up appointment at the two-week mark. Product effectiveness plateaus until 8-10 weeks and gradually movement will begin to return. Retreat is encouraged at 12-14 weeks.

Bruising or swelling is always a risk with any injectable. Appointments should be scheduled 4 weeks prior to any important event. Headaches can be common after treatment.

Avoid any alcohol or NSAID after treatment. This may increase bruising.

General Treatment Information:

It is important to avoid product migration after neurotoxins are injected. Movement of product can result in adverse effects like brow heaviness or eyelid droopiness. Anything that promotes circulation to the treated area could potentially move product, as well as any pressure or massage of the area.

Stay upright for 4-6 hours. Avoid frequent bending.

Avoid exercise for 24 hours.

Avoid extreme heat (hot tubs, saunas, sunbathing) for 24 hours.

No hats, headbands or anything that would put pressure of the area. Do not massage the area.

No facials or eyebrow waxing for two weeks.

Regular skincare is allowed. Use cool water when washing face and light pressure when applying products.

After Appointment:

Avoid alcohol, vitamins and NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Alleve, Motrin, Advil) 2 days prior to appointment. If you exercise daily, exercise before your appointment. If you bruise easily, arnica tablets can be taken daily for a week prior to appointment.

Neurotoxin Pre and Post Care

Lip filler is available in a partial or full dose depending on the client's lip goals. Lip filler can add volume, hydrate lips, help smooth upper and lower lip wrinkles, and enhance borders and projection. Product chosen is based on client needs (products include Revenesse Versa, Juvederm and Restylane brands.)

We also offer filler removal using Hyalenex. Dissolving filler can sometimes be necessary. Clients must wait 2 weeks after dissolving before refilling the area. Please disclose any allergy to bee venom to provider.

Sharpen your jawline, reduce joweling and strengthen the facial profile by adding filler around the jaw area and chin. Injecting dermal fillers into these areas can help to lift and firm, correct sagging skin, sharpen angles, project the chin, and create a more youthful appearance

 3-4 syringes typically required.

Improve facial contour and shape by adding dermal fillers to the cheeks and midface. Dermal fillers to these areas can replenish volume loss, create contour, and restore a youthful appearance. Common products are Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Lyft or Contour and Radiesse.

Product chosen based on client assessment. Pricing starts at $750. Package pricing available.

Deep hollows under the eyes, also called tear troughs, are often caused by age related volume loss. Small amounts of dermal fillers can be placed under the eye to soften hollow tear troughs, help with dark circles, hydrate under eye skin, and create a more rested look. Client must be an appropriate candidate.

Age related volume loss happens throughout the entire face. Taking a holistic approach allows us to treat the full face rather than individual areas in order to restore balance and create a more youthful, natural appearance. Multiple areas of the face can be treated including cheeks, the nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the corners of your mouth to your nose), marionette lines (the lines that run from the corners of your mouth down to your jawline), jowels, tear troughs (the area under your eyes), lips, jawline, and temples. A variety of products including Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Versa, and Belotero can be used.

We often focus on taking care of our face, but we forget about our hands. Hands are one of the first places to show signs of aging, and they can make us look much older than we actually are. Dermal fillers can be used to rejuvenate the appearance of your hands by restoring volume and adding plumpness.

Dermal fillers can be placed in multiple areas of the face including the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, jowls, under eyes, chin, jawline, lips, vertical lip lines, etc. Multiple areas can be treated in one visit to achieve full facial balancing. Multiple products including Juvederm, Restylane, Versa, Belotero, and Radiesse are available. Pricing is $750.00 per syringe. Number of syringes vary per client.

Neurotoxins, commonly referred to as Botox, are expected to last 8-12 weeks. Neurotoxins begin to work in 2-3 days, reach full potential at 2-3 weeks, and plateau until approximately 8 weeks. Movement will gradually return from 8-12 weeks after treatment. You should be ready for retreatment when movement returns in 3-4 months.

Touch-ups for neurotoxins are very common and can be done at the two-week mark to correct any asymmetries or correct remaining movement. Reaching out to the spa and informing your injector of any issues with your treatment is encouraged and can often be resolved with a brief follow-up visit. Touch-ups should not be done earlier or later than 2 weeks.

The risk of bruises comes with any injection. There are many blood vessels in the face and although botox needles are very small, it is still possible for small or large bruising to occur. We advise scheduling appointments 4-6 weeks prior to any important events.

No. It is possible to receive neurotoxins and keep a natural but smooth appearance. Doses can be adjusted to meet client needs. Dose, however, equals duration. Lower doses can give more natural results, but may last a shorter time period. Higher doses will prevent more movement and can last longer. Your injector will discuss the right dose for you during your visit.

Units per client will vary. Each area requires a different number of units to achieve optimal results. Larger muscle groups require more units to correct wrinkles.
